This study is a dietary analysis of 4 female and 6 male
competitive cyclists (n = 10; age: 29–49 years), who
completed a larger unpublished study that assessed the effects of impact loading and dietary intake on bone
health (February 2011–March 2012; Hammond, 2012).
All participants had active USA Cycling memberships,
and 5 cyclists were MB and 5 were RC. The study
received approval from the University of Colorado
Colorado Springs’s Institutional Review Board for the
Protection of Human Subjects, and all participants signed
an informed consent.
