The number of evaluation pairs is computed by the formula n(n 1)/2, where n is the number of people to be evaluated.
For example, if there are 10 people in a group, the number of paired comparisons is 10(9) /2 45.
At the conclusion of the evaluation, the number of times each person was selected as the better of the two is tallied.
The people are then ranked by the number of tallies they receive.
