Mixing both analogue and digital elements, Post-Internet art will drive a new direction for digitally-led design. At the same time, nostalgia for 20th-century technology will bring back analogue elements, as designers revisit preconceived ideas of how we once envisioned the future for a new take on 21st century sport technology and performance.
Experimental and highly tactile, design will become infused with the look and feel of the internet, as the 2D realm of the digital universe takes on a tangible form in the physical world. Light and movement is replicated, digital grids contour and map forms, and kinetic technology translates movement into a digital experience of immersive colour and pattern.
Inspired by the 1980s New Wave, design will be injected with high-octane colour, bold graphics and creative customisation. A strong female form inspires a new power silhouette and iconic sports-blocking from the 1980s is reinterpreted to create new hero pieces for the 21st century.
