Best Practice approach is based on the assumption that there is a set of best HRM practices that are universal in the sense that they are best in any situation, and that adopting them will lead to superior organizational performance. But many writers such as Cappelli & Crocker-Hefter (1996) acknowledge that it is difficult to accept that there is any such thing as universal best practice as what works well in one organization will not necessarily work well in another organisation.
With reference to appropriate academic literature, research and evidence of good practice, (1) critically evaluate the above statement (40% weighting) and (2) provide informed recommendations as to potential challenges that might be faced with the introduction of a best practice approach within a multinational organisation (60% weighting).
