The sampling rates (Q values) were either supplied by the
manufacturer or calculated using Quantitative Structure Activity
Relationship (QSAR) analysis (see Section 2.4) (Radiello, 2013).
Temperatures were measured during the sampling period at both the indoor and outdoor sites. The indoor temperatures were registered hourly using a digital thermometer (EB883, Oregon
Scientific, Tualatin, Oregon (U.S.A.); the outdoor temperatures were obtained from the nearest stations in the air quality monitoring network in Bari. An assessment of the performance and reliability of the indoor monitoring methodology to determine VOC concentrations
using radial diffusive samplers for thermal desorption has been presented in previous works (Bruno et al., 2005, 2008a).
