Laboratory testing procedures: Laboratory assessments were performed 10 days before the National Championship and started with anthropometric measurements. Body mass was assessed to the nearest 0.1 kg using balance beam scale with the athletes wearing minimal clothing. Body height was assessed to the nearest 0.1 cm using fixed stadiometer. Four skinfolds (subscapular, suprailiac, triceps and biceps) were measured using the Harpenden caliper. The percentage of body fat was estimated using the techniques proposed by Durnin and Rahaman [8].
