Similar differences were observed for different educational levels within the attraction sector but not in the hotel sector. In contrast, income levels are important differentiating factors for satisfaction in the hotel sector rather than attractions. This could be explained by the different prices charged by hotels in accordance with quality of rooms, staff and general facilities based on their star rating (Choi & Chu, 2001). Hence, depending on respondents' disposable income and affordability, different satisfaction levels would be experienced, although this may not be the same for the attraction sector where such ranking of service delivery is nonexistent; also, some attractions are either free-of-charge or charge a moderate fee, thereby downplaying the role of income (Becken & Simmons, 2002).
