Responsible for the majority of my work is in the hotel restaurant. Serving of food and beverage to clients, polite smile is the heart of his work. It also has the duty and responsibility of the principles should be followed:
1) Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
2) Collect payments from customers.
3) Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen
In period of Internship for two months, during on 11th March, 2013 – on 24th April, 2013, I have been duty and responsible in Food and Beverage department. I start working at 06.00 A.M. and finished working at 15.00 P.M. and sometimes I start working at 08.00 A.M. and finished working at 17.00 P.M. My working area was usually performed in a restaurant of the Hotel. Staff greets to the guests in the hotel, take a smile and helpful. Also the principle duties and responsibilities should be followed:
Though the duties of a job of a waitress are huge, the salary is not. However, the major earning comes from the tips that the guests give for good service. Nowadays, there are several hotel management schools which offer students not only practical training for this job, but also a certificate after successful completion of a service related course. Such courses can help you in getting a job in some popular and busier restaurants too. Always remember, customer satisfaction is the key to success in the service industry.
