As an academic institution, BCS values the knowledge of its certified instructional teachers, classified staff members, and students, as well as of its community, partners/suppliers, and other stakeholders. To collect and transfer workforce knowledge, all teachers participate in several different forums for both sharing and acquiring knowledge. Grade-level discussions focus on the needs and issues of specific-age-group students. Similar discussions are held on subject matters
that include teachers who represent multiple grade levels. In addition to in-person meetings, all of these discussions are followed electronically through blogs, Web page postings, and resource materials on the classroom support server. Individual subject matters are selected by teacher mentors and department chairs for discussion during their weekly planning and student progress meetings.
