Mass producing machines with general process controls
have given way to performance machines designed to adjust
conveying, cooling and curing characteristics on the fly for
individual parts as they are processed. Real time
identification and tracking process adjustments can be used
to immediately identify and minimize rejects without
sacrificing throughput. One example of this is the following
case study involving Preheating, Varnishing and Curing
resin on DC motor armatures. Design features
implementing the ideas listed above, as well as a
comparison of this machine to other similar methods. will
be provided in the paper.
