POSTPARTUM URINARY RETENTION
(PUR) is a condition that plagues women
in the immediate postpartum period, with
incidence ranging from 1.7% to 17.9%.1 It
is defined as the inability to void spontaneously
within 6 hours of either vaginal delivery
or catheter removal after delivery.2

period have the potential to experience
