The 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care with Treatment Recommendations was published on October 15, 2015 in the journals Circulation and Resuscitation.
This document represents the work of the world's resuscitation experts: over 230 doctors, nurses, public health professionals, scientists and researchers representing 39 countries. Together, they spent thousands of hours working on evaluating about 150,000 medical and scientific articles to answer nearly 170 PICO (population-intervention-comparator-outcomes)-structured clinical and education questions.
Thank you to ILCOR and its seven task forces--Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS); Advanced Life Support (ALS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Education, Implementation and Teams (EIT); First Aid; Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP); and Pediatric Life Support (Peds). And thanks to everyone who provided feedback as part of the Public Comment period in this process.
