Warakorn: So, it's my birthday soon.
Wisanu: What do you want to do, Warakorn?
Natthiwut: Well, I think I’d like to throw a party at the restaurant.
Poonsak: Who will be invited? Just friend?
Sinchai: Actually, my family will be there too.
Wisanu: You’re planning on something pretty big then?
Warakorn: It’s my thirtieth birthday. That’s important enough, don’t youthink?
Poonsak: Well, if you think so.
Natthiwut: I want to announce my engagement at the party too, for those who don’t know yet.
Poonsak: And give it an official touch.
Wisanu: How many people are going to be there?
Natthiwut: About fifty.
Warakorn: That’s a lot. Its way more people than your last party, right?
Sinchai: Can you really afford it? Wait, how many was the last one again?
Warakorn: Around 20, right?
Sinchai: Yeah, sort of. Hopefully, I can manage it.
Poonsak: But isn’t it traditional?
Natthiwut: Yes, and I think it’ll be a really nice party.
Wisanu: Sure it will, with all your friends and family all together in one place.
Natthiwut: But that make me worried.
Warakorn: What do you mean?
Natthiwut: Well, there are some aunts and uncles I’ll have to invite if the rest of the family were there.
Wisanu: Beside, you can’t really avoid that at these special celebrations anyway.
Poonsak: But they always wear you down and talk about the stupidest things for hours.
Sinchai: I know, mine too.
Warakorn: And do they make a real fuss about everything, too?
Wisanu: No, it’s my mother who’ like that.
Natthiwut: Really? Oh, my mother just keeps telling me what to do all the time.
Wisanu: And she’ll still be doing that when you’re forty and have four kids.
Natthiwut: But I don’t really mind. Anyway, where should I throw the party?
Poonsak: Why don’t you have it at a big celebration?
Natthiwut: Ah yes! They make an excellent dim sum.
Sinchai: Also all sorts of special dishes. I’m sure everyone will love it.
Poonsak: Yeah, Pretty much anything you can think of really.
Warakorn: But it’s going to cost a lot of money.
Natthiwut: Well, my dad knows the owner so I might be able to get a good deal.
Sinchai: Like for theThailand New Year’s celebration last year.
Poonsak: I can hardly remember that night.
Warakorn: Hey, do him a favor and don’t remind him!
