These results illustrate a diversified spectrum of the bacteria
community present in the bioreactor. The majority of the bacterial
16S rDNA sequences identified were affiliated with Alphaproteobacteria.
Alpha-Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria identified
microorganisms has been reported as major membrane
biofouling communities. While Rhizobium and Bradyrhizobium
genera were found to be responsible for nitrogen fixation. Such
microbial community structure was greatly influenced by changes
in feed wastewater characteristics, process parameters and operating
conditions (OLR and HRT).
