There are different definitions of elderly. There is no United Nations (UN) standard numerical criterion for the elderly, however it provides the cut off point for the elderly as those whose age were more than or equal 60 (UN, 1999).According to the World Health Organization(WHO) reported that most developed world countries have accepted the chronological age of 65 years as an elderly but not in western countries (WHO, 2011). Orimo(2006) has been defined elderly as a chronological age of 65 years old or older, while those from 65 through 74 years old are referred to as early elderly and those over 75 years old as late elderly.
