To carve out a share of the surge in transportation from resource-rich countries to emerging markets, we are strengthening our organization to enable sales initiatives that are more deeply rooted in local regions. We are bolstering local bases as part of efforts to strengthen our organization. We want to encourage bases that are local subsidiaries to become more independent. To this end, we will accelerate initiatives that give local bases autonomy to conduct everything from sales to fleet development and financing. Moreover, we want to intensify collaboration among local bases. Capitalizing on the resulting network of local bases, the NYK Group will further heighten the competitiveness of each local subsidiary and thereby actively target a growth in demand going forward.
