This technique was implemented with the expectation that it would lead to much better quality and much
lower scrap rates. Through the PAC (H-PAC), the defects are monitored every hour. Upper and lower control
limits were given and an SPC graph was plotted every hour for the major defects mentioned above. If the
defects went above the upper control limits, the quality inspection unit would instruct production operators to stop
production and the team would convene to investigate and solve the issues.
