At the phenotypic level, there was no difference in appearance
and fruit weight between the wild-type, high flavonol (CHI), and
high anthocyanin (Del/Ros1) tomatoes other than color (Figure 1).
The average individual fruit weight was 47 ± 2.6 (standard error)
g. The wild-type and CHI tomatoes were the typical red color
whereas both the peel and the flesh of the Del/Ros1 tomatoes
were purple.
