Safari World commenced its operations on Feb 17, 1988 with a total area of 1,200 rai (approx. 480 acres) for its open zoo and 450 rai (approx. 180 acres) for its bird park
A major renovation to enhance effectiveness of land use began on April 1989 17, and its total area developed for the leisure park now consists of an open zoo and a marine park on 500 rai of land.
on Fed 1, 1994, Safari World increased its registered capital from 759 mil baht to 1,500 mil baht and changed its name to Safari World Public Company Limited. Later, it was accepted by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to become the first entertainment park to be listed on Thailand's stock market on Feb 16, 1995.
