The interface can be easily adapted to users with very low
residual motor capabilities. The low speed of the wheelchair
reduces the problem of the user having to pay attention to what
is displayed on the computer screen and simultaneously to the
obstacles present in the environment. This aspect needs further
investigation in the validation phase with the users.
New input devices similar to the Wheelesley’s interface [15],
[16] can be tailored to the type of user disabilities and easily
integrated on the navigation system by using the M3S protocol.
