One ofthe challenges that organizations may face after implementing a system to evaluate the performance of knowledge management practices is the possibility of manipulation of data which are used to calculate the indicators by firm staffs. Especially if the results of KMP Evaluation effects top managers' decision regarding the real perfonnance of staff sand results in their promotion or loss of position. This type of cheating might occur by some staffs whose real perfonnance is not satisfactory but want to claim a good performance. In order for managers to overcome this type of cheating it is necessary for them to have regular internal auditing of knowledge management perfonnance. This ensures that calculating, recording, and reporting of data and perfonnance indicators are made correctly and precisely.
