Got so many things on you don’t know where to begin?
To-do lists leaving you feeling a little overwhelmed?
Take whatever task it is and break it down into small, bitesize chunks. Like Pac-Man. If he had to think about all those white dots he has to eat, it’d probably be a little off-putting (it’d also be very cool if Pac-Man could in fact have any feelings or sensations, given that he’s a game-arcade character).
Instead, he takes them one bite at a time.
So, if you have to sort through the house, take it one room at a time.
And take that one room and break it down into small areas to deal with each time. You’ll see progress before you know it.
If you’re constantly bombarded by emails, switch them off and only check them two or three times a day (at the beginning, middle and end).
And get through as many as you want or can in that allotted time. You’ll find that you feel a lot more on top of them and you’re getting a lot more done outside of this time, without the distraction of that constant ‘ping’.
