The incidence of CCA is very high mortality rate in globally especially Southeast Asia and Northeast Thailand, and markedly associated with liver fluke infection. also known as O. viverrini, and can be found in fresh water fish, which is a staple diet of the locals in the region. Raw fish intake, which is the common style of eating in these areas and important risk factor for chronic opisthorchiasis and cholangiocarcinoma. However, there was no current study on the prevalence of the traditional beliefs of raw fish consumption such as koi-pha with alcohol, acetic lime and ant formic in such area.
