he repertory grid technique (RGT or RepGrid) is a method for eliciting personal constructs, i.e. what people think about a given topic. It is based on George Kelly's Personal Construct Theory in 1955 and was also initially developed within this context. Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) states that people’s view of objects they interact with is made up of a collection of related similarity–difference dimensions, referred to as personal constructs. As methodology, it can be used in a variety fundamental and applied research projects on human constructs. A particular strength of the repertory grid technique is that it allows the elicitation of perceptions without researcher interference or bias.
