In aviary systems it is important to be able to control lighting system in different groups. In the evening, light should be turned off in stages, first lights in the aisles, then lights in different levels of the system, from bottom to top, to encourage the birds to move to the resting
areas before lights are turned off.
In the morning, lights should be switched on at once, but if floor eggs are found, a dim light can be turned on one hour before the main lights are switched on.
