Well, I moved! Coming in at a time of 4 and a half months, Samut Prakan has become my shortest area served in. It was a little sad to leave, but I know it was the right time to go. As for my new area, I'm currently serving in Kamphaengphet! Kamphaengphet means Diamond Wall. Sadly, there is no giant wall made of diamond in the city. It's a new area that was just opened up last February! The unit here is pretty small, but I love it already! We had 33 people at church last Sunday, and 17 of them were baptized within the last 6 months! My new companion is Elder Sugihara from Washington. He's half Japanese and has been serving here for 4 1/2 months! So a little bit of back story before I tell you where I live. Last week I went pillow shopping because my old pillow had given up the ghost. So, as I was erusing, I found some really nice hotel quality pillows. The name was something about 6 stars and so everyone was kind of tired of me laying down and saying "ahhhh, feels like six stars." Well, lo and behold, here in Kamphaengphet, we live in a hotel! Talk about foreshadowing. It's kind of nice, but our room is pretty small. On the flip side, it's really easy to clean.
So, we've been working on inviting people, trying to get them to come to church to help the church grow here. I had 13 people say that they would come, and no one showed up! Very disappointing. Oh well. There's always next week. Lot's of fun stuff! Also, I've been called as the District Leader here! We've got my companionship and two sisters serving here, so it's lots of fun and I'm learning lots of stuff all the time.
Love you all bunches and bunches!
