Big things are in the works and I'd like to get some feedback from you guys.
Through my experiences of making Gun Caliber, I feel like its about time I shared what I've learned with everyone. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who want to make their own Toku, but lack the resources or know-how to do so.
So I'm thinking of taking a Freddie Wong/Film Riot/Indy Mogul style web series, based right here in Tokyo, Japan which will entertain with Tokusatsu short films, and then feature a making-of/how-to/tutorial on the creative process of said short.
The show will cover the basic fundamentals of Toku such as making the heroes/kaijin, practical effects/make-up effects, etc. but will later on go a little more in depth with the production (ex: filming techniques, action choreography) and post-production (ex: editing, after effects, graphic design) process as well. I'm also planning on having a few guests on the show as well such as directors, writers, and stuntmen from Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Super Sentai.
My question for you is, what kind of things would you guys like to see covered in this series? Feedback is really important for how this show will turn out, so please leave a comment and share this with anyone you know who loves Tokusatsu and has a passion for creating!
