Secondarily, the aim
was to evaluate the potential of the highly stable and pig specific porcine
circovirus type 2 (PCV2), which is considered ubiquitous in swine
herds (Kristensen et al., 2013), to serve as an indicator of porcine
waste and determine the correlation between the porcine viruses and
the presence of E. coli and Salmonella in mussels.
