concluded that different operational practices could have an effect
on LFG composition. Kim et al. [22] measured several VOC concentrations
at five landfill sites in Korea. Samples were collected from
infiltrated vent pipes, centralized collection systems, and ambient
air at landfills. While Tedlar bags were used for LFG sampling, adsorbent
tubes packed with Tenax were used for ambient air sampling.
Analyses of VOCs were made by a thermal desorption unit interfaced
to a GC/FID. The levels of VOCs were significantly different
mainly as a function of landfill aging. In another study, Kim et al.
