Incorporation of unique characteristics of NPs into biosensor can enhance both sensitivity and selectivity. Over the years, we have developed a single use, disposable and screen printed biosensor platform technology [13-16]. In this development, a 2–5% by weight of iridium (actually iridium oxide) nano-catalyst is added to the active carbon forming the screen printable ink. This biosensor prototype can be used to detect enzymatically-produced H2O2 at a relatively low oxidation potential minimizing the potential interference by other species.
