People experience culture shock and then they start to recover (or adjust) to this shock. Things begin to seem more familiar. However, this stage can easily lapse back into the previous stage and so people experience shock again and then recovery again (this can go on for a long time)
At this stage people have learned about the new culture, and they know that the new culture has good and bad things, they start to understand and feel good about it. This process can happen over a period of 3-6 months.
