We had a meeting with our engineering team yesterday to discuss about the last improvements to be done on the
line and defined the schedule for the next trip of our technicians.
The modifications :
During the last visit of our technicians, they have modify the fiber distributor with longer flaps, this was done in order
to control and realize a better fiber distribution on the resin felt chimney.
Also a fine tune of the program has been done to realize better the fiber distribution too.
Following this experience, we had decided to improve the fiber distributor to become more « industrial and reliable »
during the lifetime of the machine and to increasing the rigidity of the flaps and improve the “structure” of the flaps movement.
Also program will be improved to become more precise on the fiber distribution. Here attach you will find enclose the pictures
of the new fiber distributor and we have schedule to ship this new equipment on week 5.
The technicians:
Having in mind that the equipment will arrive on week 6 in Thailand and we will need time for customer clearance, we have
schedule to send the first technician (Mr Vaginay) on week 7th for the modification of the fiber distributor.
On week 8, Mr Moncorge and Mr Berthier will arrive for the fine tuning of the new fiber distributor.
Probably our secretary will request so letter invitations and she will send the passport details of each one.
Target for this trip:
We have schedule to send our technicians to realize the fine tuning of the line on thermobonded and resin felts.
And a final training will be given to LIS technicians.
About the quality problem on the Thermobonded felt:
Following your email dated 25/12/2014, concerning the quality of the sample given to a customer from automotive industry,
the major problem was the softness and strength of the felt. Looking at our automotive customers and the experience we
have on moulding felts, in order to give more strength and hardness to a felt, the blend needs to have a minimum % of PET
fibers (as per example the following blend using 60% Cotton/20 % PET / 20 % Bico).
The strength could only come from the PET fiber and using only Cotton and Bico fibers on the blend will not be sufficient.
The Resin Stock :
Finally, we believe that you have received beginning December, the Resin from Germany and please confirm you can that you
will have on stock a second type of resin BEFORE week 8th.
Oven Modifications :
Could you let us know, if the modifications of the oven where done?
