Makai Ouji 30 Days Challenge
Day 19 - Favourite Villain
Even though I hate it when he’s abusing Kevin/Uriel and hated it when he was all smug when William was accused of cheating, I admit he’s quite an interesting character and an interesting villain. He’s ruthless, devious, cruel and he seems to like toying with people like he did it with William, and most probably Metatron when he was human (when you listen Metatron talking about it, he believed for Michael to be sincere first)
Sure, he’s violent (my heart bleed everytime he hurt Kevin) and cold, but somehow it seems to me like he wasn’t always an evil asshole. I mean: he seemed to care when he learnt his territory was attacked, and by the way Metatron talked about him sometimes, plus Raphael (who, from the brief time we saw him, seemed like a devoted and enthusiast angel) seems to be close to him, as Uriel once said. It leads me to think maybe Michael wasn’t always the cold and cruel archangel we saw in the series.
Maybe Michael wasn’t always like that. Judging from his obsession about Lucifer, maybe he was close to him, like really close, maybe he took Lucifer’s fall bad, maybe he was so hurt he wanted to hurt Lucifer as well? I really wonder about his backstory.
Actually, I think you are absolutely correct about Michael and Lucifer.
Like, Michael was the one who cast Lucifer down. He was the one who defeated him, who watched him fall from Heaven. Michael was a soldier of God. He probably loved Lucifer a lot, but his sense of duty was stronger than his love and he chose based on what he thought it was the choice God would’ve made. Maybe he chose to cast Lucifer down because Lucifer’s ideas scared him, maybe Lucifer did something to be cast down, we don’t know how it goes in this universe.
But Michael was still the one to do it, and he still loved Lucifer like crazy.
Dear gods, it must have been hell for Michael to do that. It must have hurt enough to break him.
No wonder the angel is a little bit hysterical.
