1.1.4 The authorized travel agent has been requested by the Company to research the lowest available
airfares with convenient routing. Employees must take advantage of lower fares regardless of
airline preference and award programs.
1.1.5 Employees are to take the most direct route to the business destinations. Specific airlines with
higher fares may not be requested to enhance personal benefits offered by airline companies.
1.1.6 “Frequent flyer” awards, such as free flights based on accumulated mileage paid by airlines, are
considered the property of the traveler.
1.2 Air Travel
In general, it is expected that employees will utilize the most cost effective method of travel.
Air travel will be by the most direct route. Employees are reminded that although it is appropriate to
discuss details of travel requirements with the travel agency representatives, the formal transaction is
between the Company and the travel agent and not the employee and the travel agent.
1.2.1 Thailand will comply with global air travel standards as specified in the Ford Global Travel Policy
