First, we wanted to learn about the type of m-commerce research represented in top outlets: what topics, research strategies, and research tactics did authors pursue? Therefore, we performed a more detailed analysis of mcommerce papers published in the AIS Senior Scholars’ Basket of Journals,2 International Journal of Electronic Commerce as the leading e-commerce journal, and the two most recognized conferences International Conference on Information Systems and European Conference on Information Systems, resulting in 274 papers to analyze.
