Thailand and Myanmar signed an agreement on July 28, allowing passport-holders of both countries to make free visa visits of up to 14 days, Foreign Minis¬ter Tanasak Patimapragorn said.
Speaking at a meeting in Chiang Mai, Tanasak said the agreement is aimed at boosting ties between the two countries, especially in tourism and trade.
“The free visas reflect greater cooperation between two countries and will promote tourism and trade,” Tanasak said. “But they are only available through flight travel at this stage.”
