produced the highest % inhibition and lowest IC50 value, 26 μg/ml, followed by the aqueous extract and ascorbic acid with IC50 values of 70 and 100 μg/ml, respectively. Both extracts showed better nitric oxide scavenging potential than the standard antioxidant ascorbic acid (Table 1).
