The crystalline polymorphic form of palm oil was determined
according to the AOCS Cj 2-95 (2004) method. The tests were performed
in a Philips (PW1710) diffractometer; Bragg_Bretano
geometry (h:2h); Cu Ka radiation (k = 1.54056 Å, at 40 kV and
30 mA). The measurements were performed with a 0.02 step in
2h, with an acquisition time of 2 s, over the range from 5 to 40
(2h scale). Diffraction was performed at a temperature of 20 C, sufficient
to ensure crystallinity of the samples. The crystalline forms
