Although several biological control agents possess
the potential to control plant pathogens, commercial
formulations of only a few have shown consistently
high and stable efficiency for successful disease
control in practice (Koch, 1999). The inconsistent
performance of biological control agents in the field
may be attributed to various reasons, such as,
ecological competence of biological control agents,
edaphic and microbiological factors (Papavizas,
1985). In contrast, our study demonstrated the
consistency in performance of the treatments used,
across three experiments, including 2 years in the
field.
