It is important to remark that DBP concentrations in NL are more than twice the
levels observed in QC systems. Because of the lack of physical treatment
prior to chlorination, drinking water quality in the DS is more dependent
on the quality of raw water. As a consequence, seasonal variability
of DBP levels is directly linked to the variability of NOM at the source.
