Pick up from the hotel and drive to the Prambanan temple, the temple of the “slender virgin” which also known as complex of Lorojongrang, consist of 3 major temples/shrines in the main area dedicated to respected Hindu’s Tri Murti trinity such as Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma & Candi Vishnu. Enough time is given to stroll and observe the beautiful carvings and the neighborhood shrines such as Candi Plaosan and the Candi Sewu.
Then proceed for short city tour in Yogya. Here we visit Sultan Palace Or ‘Kraton”, built in the grand and elegant Javanese architectural style, lies in the center of the municipality. It was built in 1790 by Sri Sultan HamengkubowonoI., which is also a model of traditional Javanese palace architecture. Up to now, Kraton still serves as the Sultan Palace. (Kraton is open from 08.00 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. except Friday closes at 01.00 p.m. and closed on national and Kraton holidays).
Continue with visit to Affandi Museum. Affandi is a “legendary” famous painter in Indonesia. The museum which is placed at the west of the Gajah Wong river has its wide area for about 3500 are. This area consists of the museum itself and the building used to Affandi's house. The unusual land surface gave an inspiration to Affandi to build unique building on it. The result is a unique integrated environment planned by him self, plus the legendary Affandi's paintings inside.
Visit also made to Kotagede-Silverworks. Kota Gede has been famed as the hub of Yogyakarta’s silver industry since the 1930’s. But this quiet old town, which is now a suburb of Yogya, was the first capital of the Mataram Kingdom, found by Panembahan Senopati in 1582.
