1. De-carbonate (de-gas)
the soft drinks sample
by an ultrasonic bath for 10 minutes. (Consult with instructor)
2. Filter the commercial fruit juice and soft drink samples with filter paper.
3. Make a 5-folds dilution, 50.00 ml of the both sample solutions.
4. Filter the diluted solution with 0.20 or 0.45 um-nylon syringe filter.
5. Pipette 10.00 ml of both filtered samples solution into each 50 ml-beakers. Then, add a spoon (spectacular) of activated carbon into each beaker. Shake and stand for 3 minutes to get the de-colored solution.
