Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is primary source of food and nutrition
for major component of human population and cultivated on an
area of about 29.9 million ha. Demand of rice will grow faster as
expected population will reach 9.15 billion by 2050, mainly in Asian
countries (UNFPA, 2010). Increasing instability in rice yield due to
weather conditions and monsoon anomalies is of great concerns for
