To prepare the
FRAP reagent, a mixture of 0.3 mM sodium acetate (pH 3.6),
10 mM 2,4,6-tripyridyl-2-triazine (TPTZ) and 20 mM ferric chloride
(10:1:1, v:v:v) was made. An aliquot of 0.06 ml of avocado extract
(0.25 g ml1 in distilled water) was added to 1.8 ml of FRAP
reagent and mixed thoroughly.
