The spiked recovery of PCB congeners ranged from
62.41 ± 14.96% to 119.02 ± 7.08% for water samples, and from
69.41 ± 9.97% to 127.42 ± 15.43% for sediment samples. Each extract was analyzed in duplicate, and the relative standard deviations were less than 20%. In addition, the errors involved in sampling were assessed by carrying out triplicate sampling of
water at the same site and analysis of the sample extracts. The results showed good reproducibility for the sampling process.
