A landmark success will be achieved between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia when the Friendship Bridge at Kampung Ujong Jalan, in the Temburong district will be officially opened tomorrow. The bridge can be used shortly after the Officiating ceremony concludes at about two in the afternoon.
During the official ceremony, all commercial vehicles except fuel tankers are not permitted to travel. The ferry crossing the Pandaruan River will only operate for the public from 6.00 a.m. until 9 a.m. The movement of vehicles in the Bangar area, the approach road towards Kampong Ujong Jalan and the nearby areas will be limited throughout the duration of the Officiating Ceremony, and the public are reminded to adhere to instructions by the Royal Brunei Police Force from time to time. The service road leading to and exiting from Kampong Ujong Jalan will be closed to residents of Kampong Ujong Jalan and the public seeking to enter Kampong Ujong Jalan, from 10.45 a.m. until the Officiating Ceremony is over. Speed boats for the public from Bandar Seri Begawan, to Bangar and from Bangar to Bandar Seri Begawan on the stated day will be limited.
