Dark blue-black particles, with characteristic metallic
luster of transitional metal nitrides was synthesized in a
one-step process and deposited rapidly in the collection
chamber. XRD (Fig. 13) confirmed them to be cubic TiN
with average size 13 nm. The Raman bands (Fig. 14) at
about 210, 310, and 515–540 cm1 were identified as
transverse acoustic (TA), longitudinal acoustic (LA), and
transverse optical (TO) modes of d-TiN [17], which
