ranging from 3.257(1) to 3.427(1) Å. These distances are well
defined within the sum of the van der Waals radii [SrvdW
(Te,S) ¼ 3.83 Å] [19], but significantly longer than the sum of the
covalent radii [Srcov (Te,S) ¼ 2.43 Å] [20]. In this regard, the
calculated Pauling-type bond orders [21] suggest weak Te/S contacts
for these compounds: 6 (0.038 and 0.068), 11 (0.060) and 14
(0.058). The asymmetric bonding of the PS2 unit to the tellurium
atom is further supported by the difference in the PeS bond
lengths, comprising short [1.935(2)e1.949(3) Å] and long bond
distances [2.041(2)e2.063(3) Å]. This contrasts with the symmetric
coordination pattern observed in other metal complex bearing
