Natural foods are often assumed to be foods that are minimally processed and do not contain any hormones, antibiotics, sweeteners, food colors, or flavorings that were not originally in the food.[1] BEWARE however, the terms are often misused on labels and in advertisements to trick us into buying them.
There are no restrictions on use of other truthful labeling claims such as “no drugs or growth hormones used,” “free range,” or “sustainably harvested.” So beware of where your products are coming from as many countries do not follow any restrictions or guidelines when labeling their products.
