levels reach such a high level that they impede personal,
social, or career-related functioning. Pregnancy is one
such event that may exacerbate a woman’s already existing
anxiety. Individuals coping with these disorders generally use
unsuccessful, yet repeated actions to try to curb their anxiety
(Halter et al., 2010).
